A road-trip invention that escaped the car and found its way onto the web.
Where it began
On long holiday car rides, my friends and I tried to invent games that everyone in the car—including the driver—could play without cards, boards, or complicated rules. Ranking one another around a secret question quickly became one of our favourites.
From car game to web app
Rank Your Friends grew from that simple idea: one person knows the question, everybody sees the ranking, and the conversation does the rest. This web app keeps track of the practical bits so the people in the room can concentrate on accusations, deductions, and defending the indefensible.
